Lesson 1 - Select - Copy + Paste

Step 1
-Open saved Photoshop file

Step 2
-Find your Lasso Tool, Polygonal Lasso Tool and Magic Wand Tool
-Open your Windows for “Layers” and “History”

-Cut out all of your background and save your file!
-Save your file as a “Photoshop” file (PSD) to "documents." You always want to make sure to keep your layers.

Step 3

-Search online for a new background that you would like to "put yourself" into (Try to look for a large image-make sure it opens large on your screen. A small image will print a small image!)

-Copy and paste yourself into your new background. You will need to change the size/scale of your image (Apple T=transform)

Helpful Hints!

Copy= Apple C

Paste=Apple V

Apple + = Zoom In
Apple - = Zoom Out
Apple T = Transform (hold shift down and drag corner to keep the image to scale)
Apple D = Deselect
